  14. I  bought a CyberVision last month and I wanted to see my favorite pictures
  15. on  a True-Color screen.  Unfortunately, all my viewer programs didn't work
  16. so good as they did on AGA.  V has born.
  17.  
  18. My goal was to reach the following:

  22. FRIENDLY.

  35. V is a FAST picture viewer. It's able to display the following types:

  37.     IFF ILBM (EHB,HAM6,HAM8,DHIRES,SHAM,DHAM,PCHG,CMYK,CLUT)
  38.     GIF (87a,89a)
  39.     JPEG (Normal,Adobe,Progressif).
  40.     PCX (1,4,8,24 bits)
  41.     TIFF (NONE,BLZW,RLE,PACKBITS,NEXT,THUNDER,LOGLUV)
  42.     PNG (Normal,Progressive)
  43.     QRT
  44.     RAW (height,width,RGBRGB...)
  45.     PhotoCD (with orientation)
  46.     BMP (1,8,24 bits unpacked)
  47.     TIM (4,8,16,24 bits)
  48.     TARGA (8,16,24,32 bits) (NONE, RLE)
  49.     PPM (3,6)

  52. V  has  been developped to be best used under a graphics card environnement
  53. but  it  can  be  used  on  AGA machines.  It uses by default the workbench
  54. screen but is able to open its own screen with the argument:
  55.  
  56. -SCREEN=[WIDTH]x[HEIGHT]x[DEPTH] (ex: -SCREEN=800x600x16).
  57. V has its private BestMode function to fit your wished screen.

  59. In case of a too big picture, V has not only the ability to scroll it using
  60. the  gadgets.  It can scroll the picture simply by clicking directly on it.
  61. (OPAQUE MOVE a la ArtEffect)

  63. V closes the window with the usual way and with the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON too.

  65. V moves ALL the window contents with the MIDDLE MOUSE BUTTON.

  67. If  you  are  on a TRUE COLOR screen, you can correct the gamma using the +
  68. and - keys.  (experimental)

  74. V is multiwindow. It means you can enter the following arguments:

  87. Warning!!   the amount of memory can getting low very fast.  You'll perhaps
  88. have  'crashed'  pictures,  but as soon as you resize them, everything will
  89. become ok again.

  91. The -MAXWIN option limits the amount of pictures displayed at a time.

  93. Using V in a multi window mode enables the following possibilities with the
  94. keyboard:

  96. Q(Quit)   Closes all the windows.
  97. C(Clear)  Closes the already loaded pictures windows.
  98. K(Keep)   Closes all the windows, but not the one that's selected.
  99. R(ReOrg)  Reorgs the windows.
  100. L(List)   Reorgs the windows too.
